Ruede, Gary

Gary Ruede started in the Tire industry in 1987 with Discount Tire as a part-time Tire Technician in Jackson Michigan, became Assistant manager in 1989 in Okemos Mi, and was transferred to Arizona in 1994 to start Discount Tire Direct. In 1999, Ruede developed the Vehicle Inquiry Program (Fitment Guide) for Discount Tire and Discount Tire Direct. In 2004-2008 Ruede developed the Fitment Validation program which guides the sales of product to ensure a correct rim width, PSI, and Load carrying capacity. From 2009-2015 Ruede worked in Product Development to include updates of Balancers, Changers, Compressor’s, Tire inflation systems and Safety cages, and also worked with Tire Manufacturer’s to reduce Adjustments and improve quality. Since 2019, Ruede has worked as Senior member of the Product Quality Management Team which works to improve the Quality of everything we purchase as a company through Audit’s and testing. Ruede joined the WTSBC to promote Safety within the industry and Work with other retailers to realizing that “Safety is not a competitive Advantage!”
